Please keep in mind that NPDES permits are on a 5 year renewal
schedule and IDEM Municipal NPDES Permits staff significantly
reduced the backlog of expired NPDES Permits roughly 5 years
ago. That said, many permit holders will need to complete the
NPDES renewal application at least six months
prior to the expiration date of the permit.
