Town of Kentland - Bid Date: January 18, 2012

Water Works Improvements Project

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town of Kentland, hereinafter referred to as the OWNER, will receive sealed proposals for the construction of the Water Works Improvements Project.

Sealed proposals are invited and may be delivered or forwarded by registered mail, addressed to:  Town of Kentland, Attn: Judy King, Clerk-Treasurer, 300 North 3rd Street, Kentland, Indiana 47951.

Sealed proposals must be submitted prior to 3:00 P.M. (Local Time/Central) on Wednesday, January 18, 2012. Proposals received after such time will be returned unopened.

A prebid meeting will be held at the Town Hall, 300 North 3rd Street, Kentland, Indiana on Wednesday, January 11, 2012, at 2:00 P.M. (Local Time/Central).  All prime contractors, subcontractors, vendors and suppliers and other interested parties are invited to attend.

The Project will be constructed in two (2) contract divisions, which are defined and outlined as follows:

Division "A" - Water System Improvements Project

This division shall include construction of approximately 9,793 L.F. of 6-inch water main, 170 L.F. of 6" water main by horizontal directional drilling, and 45 L.F. of 4-inch PVC water main and associated service lines, water meters, valves, hydrants, earthwork, pavement restoration, and all other work required for complete installation of water mains.

Division "B" - Water Storage Tank Rehabilitation

This division shall include the rehabilitation of the existing 250,000 gallon elevated storage tank, multiple-legged design, located at the intersection of Wilson Street and Fallon Street.  Work includes the removal of the existing lead exterior coating system and grease interior coating system, re-coating of the tank, epoxy coating of the tank foundation, installation of a cathodic protection system, and miscellaneous repairs.

Town of Dale - Bid Date: January 19, 2012

Dale Lake Dam Improvements Project

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town of Dale, hereinafter referred to as the OWNER, will receive sealed bids for the construction of the Dale Lake Dam Improvements Project.

Sealed bids are invited and may be delivered or forwarded by registered mail, addressed to:  Town of Dale; C/O Ms. Cynthia Morrison; 103 S. Wallace; P.O. Box 117; Dale, Indiana 47523. Sealed bids may also be hand delivered to 103 S. Wallace; Dale, Indiana 47523 Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. and from 5:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2012.

Sealed bids must be submitted prior to 6 p.m. C.T. (local time) on Thursday, January 19, 2012, and can be bids received after such time will be returned unopened.  All interested citizens are invited to attend and should any citizens require special provisions, such as handicapped modifications or non-English translation personnel, the Town will provide such provisions as long as the request is made by Thursday, January 12, 2012.

A prebid meeting will be held at the Dale Town Hall, 103 Wallace Street, Dale, Indiana 47523 on Thursday, January 5, 2012, at 6:00 p.m. C.T. (Local Time).  All prime contractors, subcontractors, vendors and suppliers and other interested parties are invited to attend.

The Project will be constructed in one (1) contract division and is defined and outlined as follows:

The general scope of this project will consist of rehabilitating the Dale Lake Dam with the following work included:

Excavating and compacting embankments, lake drawdown and dewatering, two-stage filter drain with pipe, reinforced concrete channel that includes an ogee spillway and stilling basin, pedestrian bridge, riprap, slide gate, CCTV Inspection, cast-in-place headwall, manhole with plug valve, segmental retaining wall, articulated concrete block mats, final grading and seeding, and erosion control.

Orange County - Bid Date: December 28, 2011

Waterway Debris Removal Project

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Orange County Board of Commissioners, hereinafter referred to as the OWNER, will receive sealed bids for the construction of the Waterway Debris Removal Project.

Sealed bids are invited and may be delivered or forwarded by registered mail, addressed to:  Orange County Commissioners, Attention: Donald Crockett, 205 E. Main Street, Paoli, Indiana 47454.

Sealed bids must be submitted prior to 9:00 a.m. ET (Local Time) on Wednesday, December 14, 2011. Bids received after such time will be returned unopened. All interested citizens are invited to attend and should any citizens require special provisions, such as handicapped modifications or non-English translation personnel, the County will provide such provisions as long as the request is made by Friday, December 9, 2011.

A prebid meeting will be held at the Orange County Administration Building, 205 E. Main Street, Paoli, Indiana 47454 on Wednesday, November 30, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. ET (Local Time). All prime contractors, subcontractors, vendors and suppliers and other interested parties are invited to attend.

The Project will be constructed in one (1) contract division and is defined and outlined as follows:

Removal and disposal of woody debris from three (3) sites along the Lost River and two
sites along Lick Creek.

City of Plymouth - Bid Date: February 13, 2012 *NEW*

Ledyard St. Water Treatment Plant Filter Restoration and Media Replacement

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Plymouth, hereinafter referred to as the OWNER, will receive sealed proposals for a water works improvements project consisting of Filter Restoration and Media Replacement at the City's Ledyard Street Water Treatment Plant.

Sealed proposals are invited and may be delivered or forwarded by registered mail, addressed to:  City of Plymouth, Attn: Toni Hutchings, Clerk-Treasurer, 124 North Michigan Street, Plymouth, Indiana 46563.

Sealed proposals must be submitted prior to 6:00 P.M. (local time) on Monday, February 13, 2012 at City Hall, 124 North Michigan Street, Plymouth, Indiana. Proposals received after such time will be returned unopened.

A prebid meeting will be held at the Ledyard Water Treatment Plant, 900 Ledyard Street, Plymouth, Indiana on  Thursday, February 2, 2012, at 10.00 A.M. (Local Time).  All prime contractors, subcontractors, vendors, suppliers and other interested parties are invited to attend.

The Project will be constructed under one (1) contract division, which is defined and outlined as follows:

The project consists of the removal and replacement of support gravel and filter media for four 10' diameter x 28' long horizontal pressure filters at the City's Ledyard Street Water Treatment Plant.  All filters are three-cell units of welded steel construction.  Interior surfaces of all filters are to receive high pressure washing followed by an inspection of internal components prior to media replacement.  Interior surfaces of filters No. 3 and 4 shall be provided with surface preparation and painting prior to media replacement.  Coatings shall be allowed proper cure time prior to media installation.  New filter media shall be specifically designed for iron and manganese removal and shall be provided with an in-situ applied pre-conditioning process.  Media conditioning shall consist of base, fixative and active agent.

The Project will be constructed in one (1) contract division and is defined and outlined as follows:

This project generally involves the rehabilitation of approximately 1,961 lineal feet of 27" sanitary sewer with cured-in-place-pipe.
