Experience
The process of choosing the right consultant can be very
difficult, especially when faced with the challenge of
infrastructure issues in your community. Making the decision
on whom to trust is not an easy task. Commonwealth Engineers
has worked with numerous cities, towns, counties, unincorporated
areas, and special purpose districts throughout the State to help
solve their infrastructure needs. Water resources comprise
90% of all of Commonwealth Engineers annual business. Because
this is the focus of our firm, we have become a leader in these
avenues of environmental engineering.
Experience with Large, Medium and Small Communities
Throughout our 35-year history, we have planned, designed and
constructed hundreds of projects throughout the State of
Indiana. Unlike many other engineering firms, we chose to
specialize in environmental engineering. As a result of our
concentrated efforts, we have developed an "unsurpassed level of
experience" which has been shared with communities of all sizes in
addressing their particular project needs.
Working with Regulatory Agencies (IDEM, IDNR, INDOT)
Since infrastructure projects can require close coordination
with applicable regulatory agencies, we have at our disposal the
services of two Regulatory Specialists to help our clients
understand the sometimes complicated permitting process. This
person also acts as a liaison between in-house staff members and
the regulatory personnel. This provides an effective
management tool allowing a quicker review of permits, which is a
result of the enhanced communications.
Funding Experience
Commonwealth's track record in assisting our clients in
obtaining funding for projects is excellent. We will work
closely with Grant Administrators to provide the information needed
to successfully complete grant applications. Throughout our
35 year history, we have become intimately familiar with the
requirements of each funding program. The following list
highlights the funding agencies Commonwealth Engineers has worked
closely with over the past 35 years.
