Lt. Governor Visits Prince's Lakes - East Lake Dam

On Friday, January 6, 2012, Lt. Governor Becky Skillman visited the East Lake Dam located in Prince's Lakes, Indiana.  During the 2008 floods, the East Lake Dam, in addition to two other dams in this area, were overtopped causing major damage to the Town and surrounding areas.  Since the 2008 flood, Commonwealth has worked with the East Lake Lot Owner's Association (ELLOA) in creating an emergency repair plan as well as the design for the dam improvements project.

The Lt. Governor visited the Prince's Lakes area in 2008 to see first hand the damage from the floods.  During her recent visit, she was able to see how the community has "cleaned up" and, when finished, how the improvements to the East Lake Dam will help prevent any future flooding damage.
