Project Description:
The treatment facility includes four rectangular primary tanks.
The design average capacity is 4.2 MGD with a peak capacity of 10
MGD. Facilities include automated pneumatic operated diaphragm
pumps and collector systems incorporate non-metallic materials.
The facility also includes the first High Rate
Clarification Actiflo system in Indiana to provide additional
primary treatment during peak wet weather events. This
resulted in the City being removed from IDEM's CSO list. A Class A
Biosolids process was also constructed. Services provided by
Commonwealth included planning, design, and construction
engineering.
